Visitors will gain a new understanding of Tiburon’s history and evolution. The owner, Elliott Brown has done much research on this beautiful area, including collecting information from original newspaper accounts, magazines, historical books, local historians and town old-timers. You will hear anecdotes about key people who made Tiburon Peninsula’s history, illustrating each tour with dozens of historical photographs.
Tour #1, “From the Coast Miwok Indigenous People Through the Coming of the Railroad,” including Lyford’s Stone Tower, will be offered most Saturdays and Sundays at 10:30 AM, Thursdays at 11:00 AM and Tuesdays and Fridays at 2:00 PM. The cost is $36 for adults and half price for children ages 6-12 years old.
Tour #2, “From the Coming of the Railroad to Today,” including the Railroad and Ferry Depot Museum, will be offered on most Fridays at 10:30 AM, and Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 PM. The cost is $40 for adults and half price for children ages 6-12 years old.
