Art Works Downtown, Inc. is a premier nonprofit art center in a 40,000 sq.ft historic building in the heart of downtown San Rafael on Fourth Street. Featuring 4 galleries, 28 studios with artists at work, a jewelers guild, crafts guild, frame store, ceramic center, clothing boutique and more, AWD also offers rotating exhibits by Bay Area artists, monthly events, art classes for all ages, a public art program as well as other opportunities for artists and community to connect. Open to the public through multiple storefronts, hours are Tuesday - Saturday from 10am-5pm and until 8pm on the 2nd Friday of every month for 2nd Fridays Art Walk.
