Italian Film Festival Featuring "A Hundred Sundays" at Angelico Hall, Dominican University
Date: Saturday, September 28, 2024
Time: 5:30pm and 8:00pm
Presented by Lido Cantarutti, the Italian Film Festival started out as an informal one-time only presentation of Italian movies in a college lecture hall. Now celebrating 46 years, the Italian Film Festival of Marin County is on Saturdays from September 28 - November 2, 2024. Mr. Cantarutti has presnted appearances from Italian film directors and composers, dignitaries of the Italian and Italian-American communities, and an authentically Italian atmosphere at every presentation.
All films are in Italian or original language with subtitles in English. All films are suggested for mature audiences.
"A Hundred Sundays" ("CENTO DOMENICHE") is a 2023 drama in color and lasts 96 minutes.
Directed by and starring, Antonio Albanese with Sandra Ceccarelli, Maurizio Donadio, and Liliana Bottone
Antonio, a former shipyard worker, leads a quiet life: he takes care of his elderly mother, he has an ex-wife with whom he maintains an excellent relationship and Emilia, his beloved daughter. When she announces that she is getting married, Antonio believes he can give her the wedding they have always dreamed of, by using his life savings. Too bad that his bank seems to be hiding something.
Antonio Albanese, the star of last year's Festival hit, "Grazie ragazzi", co-wrote this story. He also directed the film and plays the leading character.
General Admission is $21 per person, plus a service charge. A 6-Film Series is available for $120 per person. Advanced purchase is recommended. Please purchase tickets in the above website link under the Ticketing New tab. More details on film festival here
