Petaluma and Sonoma
Petaluma and Sonoma are cities in the North Bay region and within Sonoma County, California. Both cities have unique histor, bucolic scenery, and Sonom's world-class wines are among the many reasons it is a favorite destination for all.
When visiting this area, be sure to check out Marin French Cheese Company, the oldest creamery in the country specializing in brie cheeses. Another hidden gem is McEvoy Ranch, known for the world's best estate-produced Extra Virgin Olive Oil, as well as other flavored olive oils for your table. Additional offerings include small-lot wines, culinary products, olive oil skincare, and full-spectrum CBD. Walker Creek Ranch consists of 1,700 acres of open space in the heart of West Marin and offers a variety of outdoor experiences including hiking, fishing and exploring nature, to an outdoor school for 5th and 6th graders, and a unique place for specail events. Both Marin French Cheese Company and McEvoy Ranch are located in unincorporated Novato, and Walker Creek Ranch is considered uncorporated Marshall, but due to lack of postal service, they have Petaluma addresses.
Within the southeast quadrant of Sonoma is not only Sonoma Raceway, but about 25 minutes northeast is beaufiful Sonoma Valley where Charlie's Acres Farm Animal Sanctuary can be found, specializing in rescuing and protecting farm animals, but also welcoming guests of all ages for field trips, farm tours and teambuiling activities on a reservation basis. A little bit further and northwest, is a partially hidden area of Sonoma, actually known as Glen Ellen that has a famous Jack London Historic State Park with an onsite, outdoor theatre called Transcendence Theatre Company, featuing Broadway-inspired concerts and musicals. Due to some park upgrades, Transcendence Theatre performances are now taking place at Sonoma Plaza in downtown Sonoma. Continuing more to center
