The Outdoors
Boating and Sailing Experiences
Geographically, Marin County forms a large, southward-facing peninsula, with the Pacific Ocean to the west, San Pablo Bay, and San Francisco Bay to the east, and – across the Golden Gate – the city of San Francisco to the south. With the ocean and the bay on three sides, Marin County has been called the San Francisco Bay Area’s park.
The best way to explore the bay is to take a guided wildlife tour on Tamalpais Charter, visit Angel Island on Angel Island Tiburon Ferry, go on a Full Moon Cruise on the Schooner Freda B or learn the ropes of sailing or take a community cruise with Call of the Sea's Brigantine Matthew Turner... charters..all of these offer afternoon and sunset bay cruises too!
