Muir Woods remains open from 9 a.m. to sunset daily. Parking requires an advanced reservation. Park entrance fee collection, as well as limited food and gift services, will be open. Visitors must make parking reservations through GoMuirWoods.com ahead of their visit and are strongly encouraged to prepay their entrance fee through this website.

Muir Woods Parking and Shuttle Service 

To improve the visitor experience, and to enhance the protection of park resources, the National Park Service has updated its parking reservation system. 

RESERVATIONS REQUIRED

Park hours are 9 a.m. to sunset and parking reservations are required via GoMuirWoods.com before your visit. 

Please ensure you have a printout or downloaded copy of your parking voucher before arriving.

Muir Woods has an entry fee. Please buy your entry ticket online via the GoMuirWoods.com website to avoid waiting in line and to minimize the number of transactions for staff on site.

You can purchase entrance fees in advance with your reservation or when you arrive at the park. A list of national park fee-free days can be found at nps.gov.
The Muir Woods Trading Company is open from 9 a.m. to one hour before the park closes. Observe safety requirements for the gift shop and café. As per county restrictions, do not bring reusable bags. The Muir Woods Café is open, and food/beverage is available. 

Rangers are available to answer brief orientation questions and to contact first responders in the case of emergencies.

The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy bookstore is open at this time. Visitors are welcome tp purchase during posted hours or online at https://store.parksconservancy.org/. 

Shuttle Service
The Muir Woods Shuttle serves Larkspur Landing on weekends and holidays and the Sausalito Ferry Terminal on select summer weekdays. The tickets are round-trip.
