Phone: 877-874.-6833
Marielle Heller’s (Can You Ever Forgive Me?, MVFF41) bold new film starring the impeccable Amy Adams (Arrival, MVFF39 Opening NIght) explores the darker side of motherhood with mischievous humor and a dash of suspense. The unnamed protagonist (played by Adams) is a visual artist whose career goes by the wayside after she gives birth to her son, a rather hyperactive charmer now hitting his Terrible Twos. Beset by folks who want to simplify the difficulties of childrearing or insist on its joys, she imagines herself responding in violent verbal fashion. Download the program for more details.
Celebrating 47 years of film in Marin County from October 3rd through October 13th! The internationally renowned Mill Valley Film Festival offers a high-profile, prestigious, non-competitive environment perfect for celebrating the best in independent and world cinema. MVFF (the oldest fall film festival in California) remains committed to celebrating film and filmmakers and offering the highest resources and production elements possible, whatever challenges the world throws our way. We are approaching 2024 with the same commitment to quality and openness as we plan to showcase new cinema at MVFF47.
