Italian Film Festival Featuring "Perfect Strangers" at Angelico Hall, Dominican University

Presented by Lido Cantarutti, the Italian Film Festival started out as an informal one-time only presentation of Italian movies in a college lecture hall. Now celebrating 46 years, the Italian Film Festival of Marin County is on Saturdays from September 28 - November 2, 2024. Mr. Cantarutti has presnted appearances from Italian film directors and composers, dignitaries of the Italian and Italian-American communities, and an authentically Italian atmosphere at every presentation.
All films are in Italian or original language with subtitles in English. All films are suggested for mature audiences.
"Perfect Strangers" ("PERFETTI SCONOSCIUTI") is a 2016 comedy/drama in color and lasts 97 minutes.
Directed by Paolo Genovese, with Giuseppe Battiston, Marco Giallini, Anna Foglietta, Edoardo Leo, Kasia Smutniak, Valerio Mastandrea, Alba Rohrwacher, and Benedetta Porcaroli.
During a dinner party, seven friends decide to play a dangerous game. Each attendee places their cell phone on the table and agrees to make all texts and calls public to show that they have nothing to hide. What at first seems like a playful distraction between friends quickly turns into something much more toxic as the messages begin to reveal how little they may know about their partners and acquaintances.
