Everyone knows about the renowned Woodstock music festival in August of 1969, but what about that other one a month later in Toronto? Come look behind the scenes at the so-called “second most important event in Rock & Roll history,” for which a struggling young Canadian concert promoter went for broke and gathered some of the era’s greatest musicians including Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bo Diddley, The Doors, and Alice Cooper.
Presented by the California Film Institute, DocLands Documentary Film Festival brings compelling stories and the provocative insights behind them to Marin County, California. Expanding upon the exchange of ideas and inspiration through public screenings and engaged conversations, DocLands aims to bring diverse communities together for dialogue and build an active, inclusive, and fully supportive community around documentary film. Dedicated to initiating connections and partnerships that will illuminate and invigorate the business and art of non-fiction filmmakers.
