Italian Film Festival at Dominican University

Presented by Lido Cantarutti, the Italian Film Festival started out as an informal one-time only presentation of Italian movies in a college lecture hall. Now celebrating 45 years, the Italian Film Festival of Marin County is on Saturdays from October 7 - November 4, 2023. Mr. Cantarutti has presnted appearances from Italian film directors and composers, dignitaries of the Italian and Italian-American communities, and an authentically Italian atmosphere at every presentation.
All films are in Italian or original language with subtitles in English. All films are suggested for mature audiences.
"Thank You Guys" ("GRAZIE RAGAZZI ") is a 2022 drama in color and lasts 117 minutes.
Directed by Riccardo Milani, with Antonio Albanese, Fabrizio Bentivoglio, Sonia Bergamasco, and Vinicio Marchionintonio
Antonio, a passionate but often unemployed actor, has been making ends meet by dubbing pornographic films. Faced with a lack of job offers, he agrees to take a job as a teacher for a drama class in a penitentiary. The suffering of some of the inmates leads him to stage "Waiting for Godot". This is a story of redemption through artistic creation and the collective power of the theatrical enterprise.
