We're mixing it up this Sunday, June 5, with art activities inspired by the work of Masako Miki, included in our current exhibition The Potential Of Objects. All materials and instruction will be provided for these fun, imaginative art projects!
Activity 1: Explore SHAPES
Create your own superpower character using paper cut-outs - all ages
Activity 2: Discover Yōkai
In ancient Japanese folklore, inanimate objects can come to life when they have been left for 100 years! Create your own yōkai anime story about an object of your own, using markers and paper. Let your imagination bring it to life in surprising ways! - all ages
Activity 3: Felt - Sensory Box
Masako Miki likes to spend time crafting her yōkai by hand using felt. Feel the felt!
Reservations required: Only 4 families can be accommodated each hour. Interested families may schedule their time at 11am, noon, 1pm, 2pm, or 3pm. Contact MarinMOCA at 415-506-0137 or info@marinmoca.org to reserve your place.
Families with children 12 and under receive free admission to the Museum's exhibitions. The Museum is open 11am to 5pm.
