Growing and Appreciating Great Oil: From Orchard to Table Workshop at McEvoy Ranch
Date: Friday, May 25, 2018
Time: 9:00am-3:00pm
Phone: 866-617-6779
McEvoy Ranch invites you to their workshop "Growing and Appreciating Great Oil: From Orchard to Table". This workshop targets small and mid-size growers with 1 – 100 acres for medium density olive orchards for table olives or oil production. Join McEvoy Ranch’s General Manager Samantha Dorsey and Extra Virgin Alliance’s Alexandra Devarenne for a full-day olive oil workshop. This course will cover season-by-season cultural practices for growers to cultivate healthy olive trees that consistently produce high-quality oil.
After a farm-fresh lunch with McEvoy Ranch’s estate-grown wine (and olive oil!), we will spend the afternoon in the orchards reviewing the morning's content as it is applied in the field.
Our day will conclude at McEvoy Ranch’s beautiful tasting room and patio. Join us for a complimentary glass of wine and special treat in the tasting room at the conclusion of the workshop, also leaving time to enjoy our charming retail shop.
Cost: $425
Reserve your space online.
Additional Location or Other Information
McEvoy Ranch is located at 5935 Red Hill Rd, Petaluma, CA 94952. We will be outside moving about on uneven surfaces. Layers and comfortable shoes are recommended. We love our pets, too, but unfortunately, with the exception of service dogs, they have to stay at home. The local wildlife has been known to greet arriving guests—look out for wild turkeys, deer, foxes and jackrabbits (to name a few) from the lower gate all the way up to the Ranch. Please drive slowly (15 mph) after you turn off the main road. The Ranch is the McEvoy family's private residence, so please stay with your group during your visit.
