Mother's Day is Sunday, May 11 and Marin is the perfect getaway for a leisurely meal with mom. Here are our suggestions for Marin eateries offering special brunches, some with live music, in celebration of mothers everywhere:

Left Bank Brasserie, Larkspur: On May 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the café offers a special Mother’s Day brunch menu includes a Dungeness crab and avocado sandwich, salad with spring herb vinaigrette, and baked grass-fed beef brisket hash with roasted potatoes, green onions, red bell peppers, two fried eggs, smoked salt and truffled gravy. Terrapin Crossroads, San Rafael: This renowned music venue and restaurant offer a Mother's Day buffet brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring eggs Benedict, herb-crusted salmon and honey-glazed roast pork. Fenix, San Rafael: Treat your mom to brunch at the Fenix music venue and restaurant from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Accompanied by tasty jams by Maui-born Bob Simmons (who has been compared to Ray Charles, Lou Rawls, and Nat King Cole), Fenix's restaurant serves finely-crafted cocktails and delicious entrees.
