Pt Reyes National Seashore Assn - Geology of San Francisco

Take 3 hikes to discover San Francisco’s geology in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area from the Presidio to Fort Funston. Observe serpentinite bluffs and landslides at Marshall Beach in the Presidio, to melange at Lands End. Learn about the San Andreas Fault System and view the Rockland Ash layer, which erupted from Mount Tehama volcano about 600,000 years ago at Fort Funston. Approximately 6-miles of hiking with 750 feet of elevation gain.
-This will be a vigorous activity (over 5 miles and/or otherwise physically demanding).

$40 Member Price / $60 Non-Member Price. Youth, ages 12 and up, are welcome with adult supervision. Location: Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email with directions to the meeting location!
