Over 400 species of birds have been recorded here in the Point Reyes area, making it one of the best bird watching havens in the country. Winter is a great times to bird watch from a kayak in Tomales Bay. The mild weather conditions bring in thousands of birds. You will see and learn about migrating birds, marine animals and other species which live below and above the water's surface. This tour is for those who love to watch and ID birds as well as those with a curiosity for what makes Tomales Bay such a unique ecosystem.

Those of you who have been on a tour with David Wimpfheimer know what a special event this is.  David is a biologist, professional naturalist and guide with a passion for birds and the natural history of the West. Since the mid-1980s, David has shared a great deal of information about all aspects of the natural world with hundreds of groups.
